"Working with Brenda I feel something burgeoning inside me. Sometimes trying on something that truly expresses, well, me—a soft look comes over Brenda's face. I don't think I'm exaggerating in calling it rapture. That's how deeply she sees the hidden power of clothes, that somehow they can express a person's essence."

Fashion Advice from Your Favorite Fashion Guru, Brenda Kinsel

How to illuminate your inner beauty by expressing yourself with clothes that bring out your best qualities is the type of fashion advice you’ll receive from fashion guru, Brenda Kinsel.  As you get to know Brenda, you’ll quickly realize the passion she has for helping women enhance their inner beauty and strengths.  Focusing on the positive, her fashion advice encapsulates all that is good and lovely within a woman.

There are so many ways you can take advantage of Brenda’s fashion advice.  Sign up for her “Tips & Teasers” newsletter.  If you need a fashion fix in between, you can read Brenda’s blog threads.  Whether it is from her newsletter, blog, teleclasses or style guides (like “How to Look Great this Season”), you’ll always be in the know when it comes to the latest style trends.  You’ll find that Brenda really is the fashion guru.

Here are just a few tidbits of fashion advice from fashion guru, Brenda Kinsel:

  1. If clothes in your closet have expired physically or emotionally, get rid of them.  Your closet needs to be a gallery of favorites.  If that sweater from your old boyfriend bugs you, get it out of there.  If you have outfits in your closet from a past profession that don’t make sense in your current life, get them out of there.  All those mental distractions cut down on your love and enthusiasm for getting dressed for living life.  Clothes expire.  That’s okay.  Don’t feel guilty.  You will have fewer clothes, but remember, you weren’t wearing those expired clothes anyway, so let them go in peace.

  2. Your closet is your personal shrine to getting dressed.  Get everything other than clothes and accessories out of there.  Create a friendly atmosphere in your closet so things that want to mate can, producing great combos that you wouldn’t have thought of because the abandoned quilt project or boxes of photos to be scrapbooked are in the way.  Your closet should be kept neat and tidy so you can see your wardrobe clearly and dressing becomes calmer.

  3. Start each day with great underwear… just because.  Working your way from the closest thing to your skin to the layer that’s the farthest away is a reminder of how special and perfect you are.  All layers count; even the ones that don’t show.  Extra blessings come to those who wear great underwear.

Steps to Starting Your Fashion Makeover

Women looking for encouraging change in their lives should consider the nurturing and nourishing experience of a fashion makeover.  In working with a fashion guru like Brenda, you’ll begin to have a greater understanding of your true self.  You’ll begin to see the translation between what you want and what works for your body and lifestyle.  When going through a fashion makeover women will often ask, “Can I really look this good?”  The answer is a resounding, “Yes!”  Not only will you look good and feel good, you’ll also become more comfortable spending money on yourself because you won’t be making mistakes buying the wrong clothing.

So, how do you know if you may be in need of a fashion makeover?  Start by taking a look at what’s going on in your life.  Do you open your closet and become frustrated because you can’t find a thing to wear?  Are you staying at home on the couch instead of going out and having fun?  Have you gone through a life-changing event like a divorce, a change in jobs, a relocation or your children have left the nest?  These are all great indicators that a fashion makeover just may be what will give you that extra spark of energy or joie de vivre.  You won’t realize how freeing the entire fashion makeover process is, until you are done and you begin to receive the wonderful compliments of friends and family.
